Three themes are visible throughout the career of B2B marketing strategist Jerome Simmons: creativity, consistency and clarity. From obtaining his MBA from Florida A&M University and throughout his 20 years in marketing, Jerome has delivered value and measurable success each step of the way.
Jerome currently serves as Product Marketing Manager at LexisNexis Risk Solutions where he is responsible for managing marketing activities including value proposition and messaging development, demand generation, content and sales tool development, and industry-specific marketing communications.
Previously, Jerome served as Marketing Manager for XINNIX, The Mortgage Academy. XINNIX provides sales and leadership development training for the Mortgage industry. He led a rebranding effort as well spearheaded a collateral and website redevelopment initiative that included vendor selection, content development, and project management.
Prior to XINNIX, Jerome served as Senior Digital Marketing Consultant for eFish Marketing – the largest Security Marketing firm in the Nation. In this role, he applied his knowledge and experience in inbound, social media, and digital marketing to help his clients generate more sales-ready leads.
Before his role at eFish Marketing, Jerome oversaw the strategic planning, development, and implementation of marketing & communications programs for Carter Brothers, LLC – a leading national provider of commercial fire & security systems. In this position, he consulted with the CEO, Vice President of Sales, and local branch managers to design creative marketing campaigns and materials including traditional advertising, sales promotions, direct mail, interactive marketing, social media, public/media relations, and event marketing. Jerome also led multi-functional proposal development teams and wrote talking points and speeches for the CEO. As a trusted advisor to the executive team, Jerome influenced sales/marketing strategy and provided tools directing the Sales department to focus on targeted vertical markets.
Previously, Jerome served as Regional Marketing Executive for Boost Mobile– an urban brand and prepaid division of Sprint Nextel. Overseeing a 10-state territory, He developed and implemented integrated marketing campaigns for 7 regional distributors and 5 national retail partners including Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and Best Buy that included outdoor, radio, retail & event marketing solutions. Jerome was able to increase retail traffic and sales by utilizing gift with purchase promotions, strategic live radio remote broadcasts & booth presence at concerts and community events.
Prior to Boost Mobile, Jerome served as the Media & Marketing Group Manager for a non-profit organization in Tallahassee, FL. While there, he led and cultivated creative excellence in three departments: website & graphic design, publishing, and television production. Jerome also developed and managed a wide range of marketing tools, including promotional materials, direct-mail pieces, and Web site content. Additionally, he coordinated all publicity activities; negotiated media buys; and coordinated promotional events, concerts, and conferences.
